Congregation B’nai Israel Cemeteries
B’nai Israel began as a cemetery association in 1855, when a group of German Jews in Bridgeport purchased property on King’s Highway in Fairfield. That location has served the congregation that was founded in 1859 ever since. In the late 1990s it was determined that the King’s Highway cemetery was approaching its capacity, and so the Congregation purchased a second cemetery in Monroe on Moose Hill Road.
Information about the purchase of cemetery plots is available at the Temple office.
