A Zoom Musical Theater Experience: ESCAPE ROOM

Three years ago, we hosted the musical FREEDOM SONG which wove the story of Passover with the struggles with addiction and recovery faced by a family in the modern world. ESCAPE ROOM is a new production from the same creative team designed for our present reality. We are excited that B’nai Israel is a part of the World Premiere run.

The 50-minute video and live Q&A with the actors and creative team confronts pressing topics such as loneliness, isolation, addiction, loss and connection during a pandemic. It is brought to us by Beit T’Shuvah, the first residential addiction treatment center to make Jewish values, spirituality and learning an essential part of the recovery process. All of the people connected with the production have wrestled with addiction and Beit T’Shuvah has been a key part of their recovery.

This experience is for almost everyone. We are recommending it to all adults – this is not a youth focused production. That said, children as young as sixth grade may find it meaningful.
