In Conversation
Our people, our nation and our world are faced with challenges. At the heart of many of them is a failure to communicate. This series is intended to open up some of those lines of communication. Our clergy and educators will engage in open conversations about different of topics with people in our community and beyond – and with you.
In Conversation with Rabbi Josh Weinberg about Israel
Wednesday, December 16 from 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Zoom
Our Director of Education, Ira Wise has invited Rabbi Josh Weinberg for a conversation about Israel. Many of us wrestle with both a love for Israel and serious concerns about events and actions there. Some of us choose avoidance. Others become defensive. And some of us articulate some very strong feelings. Our conversation with Rabbi Weinberg will seek to help us all address concerns AND find a way to embrace the land, the people and our personal connection. Please see Hashavuah for Zoom info or email info@cbibpt.org for the link.
Rabbi Weinberg serves as the Vice President of the URJ for Israel and Reform Zionism and is the Executive Director of ARZA, the Association of Reform Zionists of America. Josh is a reserve officer in the IDF spokesperson’s unit, has hiked the Israel-trail, and came on Aliyah to Israel in 2003. Josh has taught and lectured widely throughout Israel, the U.S. and Europe. He has led numerous tours and trained tour educators for the Reform movement’s Israel experiences. Josh is passionate about anything connected to Israel and hopes to strengthen the connection between the Reform movement and the Jewish State.
