Mitzvah Morning in the Afternoon/Evening

January’s Mitzvah Morning will actually take place on a Thursday evening when we will be working with Nourish Bridgeport to provide meals for the hungry in the greater Bridgeport community. B’nai Israel volunteers will meet at the Nourish Bridgeport office at 2200 North Avenue in Bridgeport on January 20, at 3:00 p.m., to prepare and package hot meals. From there, we will deliver the meals to the local “food deserts” in Bridgeport, accompanied by the Nourish Bridgeport team. Volunteers can participate in the meal preparation only, if they so choose, from 3:00–5:00 p.m., or they can choose to help only with food delivery from 5:00- 7:30 p.m. Please sign up in advance by clicking here. We are looking for 6 people per shift.
