Community Organizing (CONECT)

B’nai Israel is an active member of CONECT, (Congregations Organized for a New Connecticut) which is an organization of 15,000 people from 25 religious institutions: urban and suburban, multi-faith, and ethnically diverse, living in communities from Norwalk to East Haven. The members of CONECT discover, research, analyze, and articulate a powerful moral voice to negotiate with business and government leaders regarding social, economic, and political issues that affect our member congregations. To learn more about CONECT or to get involved, email Rabbi Schultz or visit their website here. Or contact B’nai Israel representatives Jeff Schwartz or Emily Lehrman.

Do Not Stand Idly By

B’nai Israel is committed to working to end senseless gun violence in America.  We are active in the Do Not Stand Idly By campaign, working for stricter gun laws and smart gun technology. To learn more about Do Not Stand Idly By, visit their website here, or email Rabbi Schultz to get involved.
